Can I copyright a verse and chorus ONLY with the Library of Congress in order to sell it to a Publisher?

I've been writing hip-hop songs worth selling but I know many artists like to write their own verses so I've been writing a catchy chorus and 1 verse. Before I present this to the Publishing companies I want to Copyright them. I know the Library of Congress will Copyright it for me but would a Publishing Company be ok with 1 verse and the chorus on the demo? Can I copyright a verse and chorus ONLY with the Library of Congress in order to sell it to a Publisher?
Yes. Just pay the fee and they will accept it if it is original.
