This is one of the best (and only) ways to do it.

Do you still have the other computer with your old itunes in the house? If you do, and if you haven't already done this download the newest version of itunes on both computers and enable home sharing. I have no idea how it works because I personally haven't tried it yet but what it does is it takes all of the songs on your library on your old computer and transfers it to your new one. Then you can just erase your ipod and sync it to the new library on your new computer.

I hope that works out for you!

Good luck,

Hello there, as long as your songs are still on your iPod, you can get them back to your computer and iTunes easily.

The most convenient and secure way is to use an iPod-to-computer transfer program to help you, like this handy one called Tansee iPod Transfer

Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer. The whole process goes as follows:

Firstly install this program on your computer. When you plug your iPod to the computer, this program will instantly display all songs and videos on the iPod.You simply select what you wish to transfer and click "Copy" button. Done. All your selected files will be copied to your computer safely. Now you can easily add those songs and videos to your iTunes library. See detailed guide.

More importantly, this won't overwrite any original files on your iPod. And all song names are preserved.

Here is step-by-step guide on the whole process:

Best luck!

You really can't unless you go around iTunes locks! There is a way you use this progam called iPhone browser and the will be a file labeled music I belive and under that file it has severalfolders labeled f01 f02 fo3 etc what you need to do is copy the file that holds those folders once it completes (it may take a while) then go into iTunes and click open folder or import folder and click the files you transferedHow to load the music off my ipod into my library on itunes?
