How do i transfer my itunes library to my new ipod?

I have an old Ipod Nano thats like 3 1/2 years old and when i get a new one i want to transfer my old library to my new Ipod (its going to be the classic Ipod). Is there a way to transfer my old library to the new? how do i do that?How do i transfer my itunes library to my new ipod?
