I'm moving on Sunday, and i'm getting a new pc. I'm listening to my ipod all day long, and I'm always adding onto my itunes library. How do i transfer my library to my new pc?How Do I transfer my iTunes library to another computer?
I moved my itunes library from my work pc to my home pc by converting my ipod to a hard drive while it was connected to my work pc and loading my music files to it then plugging my ipod up to my home pc and storing the files on that computer. (This will only work if you have enough room on your ipod to hold the all of the music files.) I know this works for 5th Gen. 30 %26amp; 80gb.
Option 2:
Burn your music files to CD's (as data files, the CD will hold more) and then add them to your pc and sync your ipod to that pc. Be sure to get all of your music files because when you sync to the new computer it is going to wipe your ipod.
Option 3: Get a flash drive, and transfer the music to that and then upload to new computer.
Option 4:
You can always email your entire music folder to yourself, open it oon you pc and save the files on that pc (warning... this is a very slow and lengthy process).
Hope I helpedHow Do I transfer my iTunes library to another computer?
if all your songs are organized in the itunes library, all you got to do is copy or burn (you can use your ipod in disk mode like a flash memory) the folder that normally is located under my music folder. after you copy all that, you just open itunes and load the library (the archive is called Itunes Library in the folder Itunes in your My music folder of windows), what you must watch is to copy the songs in the same location as fas as it is possibleHow Do I transfer my iTunes library to another computer?
forget all that stuff, ill tell you the best answer download a program called ipodutil, its free and will allow you to download your stuff from your ipod back to your computer, if you like pay the guy a few bucks for using it. just make sure you set itunes to manual manage files and enable disk use on your ipod. have fun.
