Would a public library have great information on Government Grants?

I want to apply for a grant but know very little on the subject. Would the library have the information on sources and how to apply and how to write one?Would a public library have great information on Government Grants?
They probably would. You can also check out the *official* Web site, http://www.grants.gov

Note that the Web site ends in dot-gov. That's how you know they're legit -- as opposed to the many scam sites that end in dot-com.Would a public library have great information on Government Grants?
Grants.gov
All the info you will need is on that site.

Note: The government only hands out grants under certain circumstances.
Ex: Setting up a desperately needed school for the blind.
Opening a grocery store in a crime ridden area where there are no stores.
Setting up a daycare in an area where there is incredible need
----
There are many, many scam sites that will charge you $49.95 for the same information grants.gov offersWould a public library have great information on Government Grants?
What do you think that you want a grant for?

The government does not give out grant money to pay bills, pay debt, start/expand a business or pretty much anything else.

www.grants.gov is the only legit US government website. Any other website that promises you a grant for a fee is a scam.
