I have a careers assignment due, and we have to right what sort of industry is each job. Like working at a school is in the education industry, and working as a Doctor would be in the medical industry, but i can't decided what working in the Library would be. I know there is a Library Science degree, but I'm not sure if that could count as an industry. Is "Reference" an industry?

A librarian might be working in a school/college/ university (education?), a public library (public service?) or in a scientific specialist/academic environment.
A librarian is required to obtain relevant qualifications and follow 'continuing professional environment. You will find useful details about this aspect on the above website.
'Working in a library' is not the same as being 'a librarian'.
