My usb ports no longer work on my old computer. It had a virus and is now clean but it no longer picks up on any usb device. What is the best way to get my itunes library (18 gb) off of my old computer and transfered to my new one? I have heard of using dvds as data file and downloading them over, but how would i then load that onto my new computer? Any other ideas would be awesome, i dont want to lose 18gb of music. Network the 2 computers together through your router for the internet. Then you can simply move the songs over with a click of the mouse.Moving itunes library to another computer without a working usb port?
If you're SURE the old HD is clean, pull it out of the old PC and install it as a second HD in the new machine. Copy your itunes library from the old drive to the new. Then put the old drive back into the old computer, if you want to still use the old computer. If not, you can format the old drive an use it as extra storage on the new computer.
