My itunes library got erased. Is there anyway to get my purchased items back without repaying?

Okay, so because of a bug in the computer, my itunes library got completely erased. I was able to reload all of my cds on it, but I still need all of my purchased items. Especially all of the tv shows and movies that I had because they were expensive. My purchase history still shows that I bought everything, but how can I get them back. I really don't want to repay...My itunes library got erased. Is there anyway to get my purchased items back without repaying?
As far as I know, just go to pay for whatever you lost and it'll say that you've already paid, and that you can download it for free. But this way is pretty slow...
