I used frostwire and i dont like doing it anymore so I deleted it. I added alot of my music from there. I also restarted my computer to factory setting and I thought you could just copy and paste the itunes library and attach it to an email but now all my songs have the exclamation point next to them and I cant play them on the computer. I still have them on my ipod and they are still playable. What do I do?How do you get rid of the exclamation point next to the songs in my itunes library?
Hey there,
The exclamation mark means that the songs can't be found. When you say copy and paste the itunes library did you copy the entire iTunes folder found inside the music (or myMusic) folder? If you did then your songs still exist! You'll have to double click on the songs in iTunes and then manually locate the song on you computer so that itunes knows where it is. Unfortunately this involves doing it for every song. If you just copied the itunes library file called "iTunes Library" then your songs aren't on your computer and thats why the exclamation points appear. What your going to have to do is get the songs off your ipod. Be careful doing this. The next time you plug in your ipod and sync it with itunes it will erase your ipod, we don't want this!
If your on a pc you can use a piece of software called ephiPod (free)
if your on a mac you can use iLinkiPod. (Free)
