There are 3 ways to sync your music
- automatic (all)
- automatic (selected playlists)
- manual
The first one is the default sync method and the simplest to use because it basically makes your iPod an exact copy of what is in your iTunes library.
The second one is a good choice if your iPod's capacity is smaller than your library, and you want to be able to choose music that is transferred by creating playlists and syncing them to your iPod.
The third one lets you drag and drop music from your iTunes library to your iPod.

if your ipod is "manual" then just drag and drop or if its "automatic" then just sync it . New ipods are automatic %26amp; u can change ur setting
