How do I get music onto my itunes library?

I usually put CD's into the computer and it does its stuff perfectly well, but I have downloaded a few songs on to my computer and I am not sure how to get them from my music folder to my itunes library - does anyone know how?How do I get music onto my itunes library?
In the top left cornrer of ITunes go to file then click add file or add folder to library in the dropdown menu. Look though your files in whatever section of your hard drive and click the ones you want to add.

In Itunes make sure you are in the Music folder. Then go find your songs, highlight them. All you have to do is drag and drop them into the Music folder where the songs are listed. Its that easy.Thats how I do it. I also minimize the windows and have them sit side by side so dropping and dragging is easier.
