I just got a new computer so there are no songs in my itunes library. How do I move the songs from my ipod to the library?How do I move songs from my ipod to my itunes library?
There are a number of programs out there that can help with this, but personally I prefer to do it without any additional software so that I don't have to pay anything or worry about any spyware/viruses coming with my download.



To do this without extra software, first you need to enable the viewing of hidden folders on your computer - run an internet search for "view hidden folders in _____" where the blank is your operating system i.e. XP or Vista since it varies slightly by operating system. Then plug your iPod into the computer and open it up using My Computer by double clicking on the iPod icon. There will be a folder labeled "Music" in there, right click on it and select copy. Then paste it to your desktop or somewhere else that is convenient for you on your computer. Then unplug the iPod and open up iTunes. Under the file menu you will find a couple of import options. Use these to import the songs you just copied off of your iPod back into your iTunes. Then you can sync your iPod with your computer like normal.
i don't think you can, i think you can only move songs from your library to your ipod. this is probably because if you use, say your friend's computer, and you transfer their songs (bought from itunes or something) into yours, then you don't have to pay for them %26amp; that way apple loses money :P lol, thats what i thinkHow do I move songs from my ipod to my itunes library?

After you transfer your music, you can import it into your iTunes library.
when you plug in ur ipod, it will probably say some of the songs are not on your computer, do you want to download them? say yes. if it doesn't say that, click:
